Kayak trip to Hokkaido June to August 2004 This way around I paddled solo around Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. My route was clockwise: Bikuni, Wakkanai, Shiretoko, Kushiro, Erimo, Tomakomai, Tsugaru-kaikyo, and back to Bikuni, a total distance of almost exactly 2000 Km. I started at Bikuni on Monday 28 June and finished on 9 August. Detailed write-up to follow!
